Many conventional therapies are based on herbs. So, herbalism would be an example of an alternative therapy. St. John’s Wort for depression, for example.
In addition, patients with musculo-skeletal issues have been using chiropractic medicine with excellent results… so much so that conventional doctors have been referring patients to this mode of alternative therapy.


For starters, the massive amounts of money spent on alternative therapies and medicines. When the public became fed up with AMA handling of pharmaceutical companies expensive products and the bar associations constant lawsuits against them.
As for the success of alternative therapies working, many have been found on a limited basis, since no statistical evidence has been gathered so definitively prove them.
